School Leadership

My name is Mr. Jeremy and I serve Manor Hall as Head of School. I moved to the UAE this past fall with my family from the United States. This past year at Manor Hall has been the best experience in my career. Prior to Manor Hall, I served as Regional Vice President and Superintendent for a charter school network. Additionally, I was a Head of Secondary and Vice Principal. As a teacher, I taught elementary mathematics using inquiry and also English/Language Arts for several years.

I am currently completing my Ph.D in Organizational leadership. I am really passionate about collaborating with other schools in Al Ain and making MHIS the best school possible.

Mr. Jeremy, Head of School

Hello students, parents, family, and friends. My name is Mrs. Vanessa and I am the Vice Principal of Instruction at Manor Hall International School for grades PreK through 6 and grades 9 through 12. I moved to the UAE in August 2013 with my husband and three children. I am originally from Alabama, but have lived in California, Florida, and Georgia.

I began my career in education in 1998 in Florida as a teacher and continued in Georgia and eventually to the UAE. During my career, I have served in several different capacities which included professional development for teachers, Literacy Coach, as well as SAC Chair. My knowledge and experience in the education field have been a tremendous help in molding me to be a part of MHIS.

I now proudly serve at MHIS as Vice Principal, where I hope to continue to make a positive impact in students’ academic achievements and attainment to a life-long love for learning.

For almost 2 decades I have worked in the education field teaching a variety of subjects at the secondary level. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Theatre, a Master’s of Education in Instructional Technology, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership. I came to Manor Hall and the UAE 2 years ago and feel honored to have the privilege to work with your students. The task in front of us as educators and parents is to work together to shape our students into thoughtful individuals who seek solutions to problems while igniting a strong intrinsic drive that will propel students forward in all aspects of their life. I believe that my overriding philosophy that success is a choice will greatly help in accomplishing this task. I strive each day to help students make positive choices to move toward success academically and socially. It is through making sound choices that our students will have far more opportunities to grow and succeed both while they are in school and long afterwards in their adult life.

I look forward to working with your students for many years to come.

Ms. Kym, Vice Principal of Student Affairs

My decision to move to the UAE from The United States of America in August, 2013 has been one of the best decisions of my life. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Connecticut and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Bridgeport (Connecticut). My experience in education started with teaching 6th grade math at a charter school in Connecticut for 11 years followed by a year of SAT Math tutoring before I relocated to Al Ain. I then taught 6th grade math at an ADEC public school for two years before joining the Manor Hall family. My first year at Manor Hall included the role of Academic Specialist, 5th grade Math and Science teacher, Algebra I and Algebra II teacher, and concluded with being appointed the Curriculum Director. Now having completed a full year in Administration with the team of dedicated professionals we have, I look forward to striving for excellence for years to come at Manor Hall International School.

I am thrilled to begin my second year as a part of the Manor Hall family and to be involved in the current Research and Development (R&D) initiative. We are blessed to have such an energetic and passionate community of students and professionals, and my goal is to harness this energy and direct our efforts towards creating innovative, relevant, and sustainable solutions to the needs of our community. Whether we are focusing on student achievement, professional development, or family involvement, the R&D initiative is our commitment to sustainable growth and collaborative exploration.

Mr. Daniel, Research and Development Leader

I have been teaching 5th grade Math and Science at Manor Hall International School since 2015. In this time, I have witnessed tremendous amounts of growth on behalf of the staff, students, and administrators, in efforts to create a safe, healthy, and positive, school climate and culture. Manor Hall demands innovation, autonomy, and leadership skills from its pupils, that will gear them towards being top world leaders and productive global citizens. I have established conducive learning environments, directed many differentiated lessons, and provided various applications for my students to have the opportunity to relate to the real-world, as have all of my fellow colleagues. I firmly believe that Manor Hall will be a top school of excellence and a preferred institution of learning, specifically in Al Ain, and throughout the entirety of the United Arab Emirates.
