OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDENT COUNCIL
Student Government Association
- Represent the voice of the high school students (hereinafter “students”) regarding school matters.
- Actively seek out student opinions on matters of concern.
- Take any necessary and permissible follow up actions to the students’ requests.
- Develop unity and school spirit amongst the students.
- Advise the administration on any matters of concern to the student body.
- Maintain communication and establish strong relations between the students and the administration.
- Each student council should set and prioritize goals specific for the student body needs of the year.
- Guide the student body advice in terms of the actions they can or cannot initiate, as well as provide students with advice in matters concerning the school.
- Provide feedback on and suggest amendments to school policies in order to create a better atmosphere for students.
- Develop and update the constitution in order to ensure that the council can respond to the needs of the students as deemed necessary.
